I have been intending to write this post about the wedding at St Mary’s Church Addington village for a while but have been so busy. Roy and Amy from Croydon booked me through a very good friend of mine for their special day. I started the day at Amy’s house in the morning and captured her bridal preparation photography and then went ahead to the church ready for her arrival by car.
Halfway through the bridal prep a package arrived with some flowers from Roy. It read;
“To my darling Amy. Well our day is finally here and God knows we have waited long enough. You are the love of my life. I will do everything I can to make you happy and just to start. A gift for you. You get to tell our children they are going to America so you can see their faces. Love Always, Roy.”
I can cover any wedding anywhere and sometimes it also has to be under tight conditions. I love a challenge of sculpting a wedding and working with what I have. This particular church was nice and large but also a little dark. Also the church Vicar also asked for no flash photography taking away any extra chance of extra control.
One last final check that the rings have not been forgotten!
Amy finally arrives in a classic vintage. It had started to drizzle but that’s not going to stop anything 🙂
The Giving of Rings
Heavenly Father, by your blessing let these rings be to Roy and Amy Louise. A symbol of unending love and faithfulness, to remind them of the vow and covenant. Which they have made this day through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
