London Westminster Engagement Photography

Just before Christmas Eve I was contacted by Jay to meet him at Westminster London to capture live, without his girlfriend knowing his proposal and engagement to her. I love engagement photography, and its even a bigger challenge when your waiting for them to come by and stop before you and start proposing…Which Jay did successfully by the way!
After booking with me, we swapped photos of each other and planned when and where to meet. As you can see in the photos the popular choice was the London Eye. I have to admit people gave me odd looks passing by as I was waiting around with camera gear, light stands but it was worth the wait.
Westminster London is a great place for photography and you will always see landscape photographers on the bridges nearby. At night though, London comes alive with all kinds of lights which makes for a perfect back drop for any kind of photography. Take a look below and see for yourself.
After the initial shock of the proposal she pointed over to me and said “That man is trying to take a photo of the London Eye, we are in they way” at which point I went over and congratulated them both on their engagement and mentioned that I’m ‘their’ photographer! and we spent a short part of the evening creating some memorable images.
We had chosen various spots near Westminster including a Christmas tree that Jay had spotted on his walk earlier that day. But in every shot we tried to make sure their friends and family would know where in London they are, especially as Jays family are all in Dallas, Texas.
